Where to shop till you drop in Paris

Paris is one of the world's shopping capitals. Its reputation as one of the world's leading fashion capitals is well established, and it is easy to devote an entire day or more to shopping there.

What is exceptional in Paris is that you can combine shopping and pleasant walks, alternate great brands and small designer shops, all while discovering the city.

Here are our tips for shopping in Paris :

Go to The Marais

It’s one of the oldest, and most beautiful, districts of Paris. Stop at the Saint-Paul metro, originally specialized in antiques, there are now many restaurants, art galleries and design shops and creators. Find the rue des Francs-Bourgeois, you will find the hottest brands of the moment, (Zadig & Voltaire, Abi d'Abou Bazaar, American Apparel, Isabelle Marant, The Fairy Maraboutée ...) you'll be spoiled for choice! You will notice that some of them have their homes in superb 17th century mansions.

Explore Saint-Germain-des-prés

Formerly famous for its bookstores and intellectuals, today you will find in Saint-Germain-des-Prés luxury boutiques, convenience stores, ready-to-wear and art galleries. The streets, lined with old buildings and charming windows, are a real pleasure for those who want to combine walking and shopping.

Stop at Metro Sèvres-Babylone, take rue du bac. More than a kilometer long, it is exceptional in its architecture and is full of pretty shops.

Walk to the Royal Palace / Rue Saint-Anne

Find the Galerie Vivienne (covered walkway) there are nice shops (designers, posh-sale chic, tea room, old bookstore) and for an unusual shopping, under the arcades of the gardens of the Palais Royal, there is a music box store, wooden toy, medals, lead figurines, smoker's items.

If you want Luxury Shopping

The key address in Paris is the "Golden triangle", a form composed of Avenue Montaigne, the Champs-Elysées and Avenue Georges V. Customer destination French and international fortunate, Avenue Montaigne is the hotspot of Parisian fashion and focuses on a little more than 600 meters long all the major luxury brands (Metro Alma-Marceau)

Going through the world famous Place Vendome, you will discover a large number of jewelers, jewelers and gemstones.  On the Rue de Rivoli side, although the landscape under the arcades is absolutely charming, you will only find mostly souvenir shops.

Galeries Lafayette: 40 Boulevard Haussmann (Metro Havre Caumartin)

Printemps: 64 Boulevard Haussmann (Metro Havre Caumartin)

Le Bon Marché : 24 Rue de Sèvre (Metro Sèvre Babylone)

You will find there everything you need in terms of fashion, accessories, cosmetics. All the major brands are there. A bit pricey but so beautiful to just wander around.
